Job summary

The Toro Company, Perry, OK, seeks a Product Manager for HDD Tooling & Drill Pipe within the Ditch Witch division. Manage the portfolio across lifecycle, lead VOC and MGPP efforts, and align with engineering, sales, and finance to drive market success.

Role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and cross-functional leadership. Travel and hands-on collaboration are expected to support strategic priorities and new product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in underground construction or related industry.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial targets.
• Ability to understand target markets and articulate customer needs.
• Identifies unmet customer needs and growth opportunities via MGPP.
• Champion new products through the gate process with aligned targets.
• Strong technical aptitude enabling collaboration with engineering.
• Proven self-starter with bias for action and multi-project leadership.
• Effective launches of new products and daily product management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for product line success.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned product portfolio throughout lifecycle to maximize ROI.
• Lead global VOC activities to understand customer requirements and drive decisions.
• Develop, present, and execute an annual MGPP for the portfolio.
• Define market needs, trends, and customer expectations.
• Develop the product and strategic vision.
• Develop, communicate, and execute product strategies to meet corporate goals.
• Create and develop business cases for new products based on market data.
• Champion new product development with clear specifications and targets.
• Collaborate with engineering and test to ensure design criteria and test plans.
• Develop product launch plans and coordinate daily product management tasks.
• Engage in IBP process, forecasting annual sales and inventory.
• Plan and deliver product sales training for launches and webinars.
• Provide internal teams with timely position information.
• Monitor market share and competitive positioning; adjust pricing with sales/finance.
• Support industry events and dealer channel communications.
• Collaborate across teams to support portfolio priorities and field needs.
