Job description

We are seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to define, position, and scale a portfolio of engineering services and system-level solutions for semiconductor customers.

This role will translate customer requirements, market trends, and technology developments into clearly defined service offerings, differentiated value propositions, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans. The Product Marketing Manager will ensure that engineering services complement and strengthen the broader product portfolio while remaining aligned with business objectives and execution capabilities.

The position operates at the intersection of customers, sales, business development, engineering, product teams, program management, and R&D. Success requires strong technical credibility, commercial judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a global environment.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Ownership

  • Contribute to strategic business planning and portfolio development for engineering services and system-level solutions.
  • Consolidate customer requirements and translate them into clearly defined service offerings, deliverables, and value propositions.
  • Develop and maintain a differentiated portfolio that addresses customer needs and supports broader business objectives.
  • Ensure engineering service offerings complement and enhance the value of the standard product portfolio.
  • Help define service roadmaps based on market demand, technology trends, customer feedback, and internal capabilities.
  • Establish clear parameters around scope, ownership, pricing, and delivery responsibilities.

Market and Customer Insights

  • Analyze semiconductor market trends, customer needs, test strategies, and technology developments that drive demand for engineering services and custom system solutions.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand technical requirements, business priorities, value drivers, and purchasing considerations.
  • Advise leadership on market direction, customer expectations, competitive positioning, and emerging opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand engagement with strategic and leading-edge semiconductor customers.
  • Translate customer and market insights into actionable recommendations for service development and portfolio planning.

Go-to-Market and Commercial Support

  • Lead the core elements of go-to-market planning, including product definition, pricing, positioning, and promotion.
  • Develop compelling value propositions, messaging, and customer-facing materials for engineering service offerings.
  • Define pricing structures that reflect customer value, technical complexity, resource requirements, and delivery risk.
  • Support sales and business development teams during strategic customer engagements.
  • Participate in customer meetings to present technical capabilities, service offerings, pricing, and business value.
  • Help establish consistent positioning across regions, markets, and customer segments.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with customers, sales, business development, engineering, program management, product teams, R&D, and internal and external partners.
  • Ensure alignment between market demand, commercial commitments, and delivery capabilities.
  • Facilitate decisions among teams with different technical, operational, and commercial priorities.
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities across product marketing, engineering, R&D, and business development.
  • Drive alignment across global teams without relying on direct authority.
  • Balance customer expectations with technical feasibility, cost, scope, resources, and delivery timelines.

Sales and Organizational Enablement

  • Provide clear service definitions, pricing structures, positioning, messaging, and sales guidance.
  • Enable regional sales and business development teams to communicate service capabilities consistently.
  • Develop internal materials that explain target customers, use cases, qualification criteria, value propositions, and delivery models.
  • Support alignment across regions to ensure offerings are positioned and executed consistently.
  • Provide ongoing guidance as customer requirements, technologies, and market conditions evolve.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related technical or commercial field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in product marketing, product management, technical business development, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.
  • Direct experience working with semiconductor customers and understanding their technical requirements, test strategies, and business priorities.
  • Strong background supporting complex technical solutions involving hardware, software, and services.
  • Experience defining product or service offerings, value propositions, positioning, and pricing.
  • Demonstrated success working across engineering, sales, business development, product, program management, and R&D organizations.
  • Experience engaging directly with customers on technical, commercial, and pricing discussions.
  • Strong technical and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions clearly to customers, engineers, sales teams, and senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional and global stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience working with international teams and customers across the United States, Asia, and Europe.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with semiconductor test equipment, automated test systems, or system-level test solutions.
  • Product marketing or product management experience within semiconductor equipment, capital equipment, or advanced technology markets.
  • Knowledge of RF, photonics, advanced packaging, high-performance computing, or other emerging semiconductor applications.
  • Experience developing customized, application-specific, or engineering-intensive offerings.
  • Experience with strategic account engagement, global product launches, or industry conferences.
  • Familiarity with service-based business models, custom engineering programs, or low-volume technical solutions.
