Job description

About Open Standard

Open Standard is on a mission to build the world's best money, starting with the US dollar. We believe money should move the way data does: instantly, globally, at any hour, in any amount. Today, financial transactions are hindered by delays, fees, and inefficiencies that every business must bear. We’re here to change that.

Our flagship product, Open USD, is a stablecoin designed for the internet: programmable, global, and built to reward the businesses that champion its adoption. Launched in close partnership with industry leaders like Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, Coinbase, and Shopify, Open Standard already has over 200 top companies in its network. Our lean team is based in San Francisco and New York and is led by Zach Abrams, who co-founded Bridge (acquired by Stripe for $1.1B) and previously led product at Brex, Coinbase, and Square.

Money is the world's most foundational product. Join us to help redefine it.

The role

As the Lead Product Marketing Manager, you’ll shape and champion how Open USD is positioned and understood by banks, payment networks, fintechs, platforms, and developers. You’ll create clear narratives tailored to each audience, empower our commercial teams and partners to share those stories effectively, and channel market feedback directly into our product strategy. You'll also partner closely with product and marketing leaders at founding partners such as Stripe, Coinbase, Visa, and Mastercard, whose customers will be the earliest adopters of Open USD.

This is a unique opportunity to define a new financial category from the ground up. You’ll collaborate directly with our CEO and some of the most influential companies in payments, building the product marketing function as Open Standard scales.

What you'll do
  • Own and execute on positioning, messaging, and market segmentation for Open Standard and Open USD, ensuring consistency across all channels.

  • Equip our commercial team, account managers, and partner sales teams with compelling narratives, one-pagers, explainers, competitive positioning, and answers to key partner questions.

  • Serve as the definitive resource for product communications so that every partner interaction is clear, compelling, and aligned.

  • Lead go-to-market strategies for launches and expansions, including new partners, additional chains and capabilities, and new customer segments.

  • Collaborate with the CEO and Communications to craft executive narratives: keynotes, decks, talking points, and strategic messaging that set Open Standard apart.

  • Manage website and developer-facing content in partnership with Engineering and Communications.

  • Leverage partner and market research, competitive intelligence, and commercial team feedback to inform our product roadmap and ensure the customer voice is heard in planning.

  • Define, analyze, and report on key metrics that demonstrate the effectiveness of our narrative and marketing strategies, from partner interest through launch and adoption.

You might be a good fit if you
  • Have 6 to 12 years in product marketing within payments, fintech, crypto infrastructure, or enterprise software, including go-to-market experience for API-based or platform-distributed financial products.

  • Have successfully launched new products and expanded existing ones into new segments or markets, particularly for institutional and platform audiences.

  • Have built and led partner-focused go-to-market programs, empowering other companies’ sales teams.

  • Are fluent in payments terminology and concepts: rails, treasury, settlement, stablecoins, compliance, APIs, and platform economics.

  • Can write quickly and clearly, explaining complex concepts to both compliance professionals at banks and protocol founders alike.

  • Thrive operating independently, advising founders and executives, and taking ownership of results.

Strong candidates may also have
  • Experience marketing payments infrastructure, digital assets, treasury/treasury operations, issuing/acquiring, or developer platforms.

  • Experience as the first marketer at an infrastructure company.

  • Experience running partner or channel marketing at a payments network.

Logistics
  • Location: San Francisco or New York, hybrid with a mix of in-office and remote days
