Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. in Austin, TX is hiring for a manufacturing/engineering role focused on BOM management and NPI readiness.

With supervision, you will develop and release BOMs for moderately complex assemblies and help implement new manufacturing strategies. You will work with senior engineers on 3D model analysis, provide technical support, and assist in change control processes, root-cause analysis, and training for manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in an Engineering discipline; Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial preferred.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and releases new product BOMs for moderately complex assemblies.
• Develops and validates Operation Method Sheets (OMS) for assemblies.
• Partners with Sr NPMEs in 3D solid model virtual analysis, including Master Layout and DMU; drives cost, quality and cycle-time goals.
• Partners with Sr NPME to log change requests and executes change control processes including NSRs, ECOs, CCB, SPSs, ESWs.
• Documents product-related issues and enhancement opportunities; assists in root-cause analysis.
• Leads the Managed Build process for assemblies/modules.
• Provides technical support and training to Applied and contract manufacturing resources.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
