Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Austin, TX, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support NPI, new product development, and sustaining production. You will interface with R&D, manage cross-functional teams, and drive manufacturability improvements across CNC processes.

Responsibilities include creating BOMs, routing instructions, and executing change controls while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to hit timelines and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Mechatronics /Instrumentation Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering in semiconductor contract manufacturing.
• Experience creating PFMEA, Process Control Plans, and process flows.
• Lean Six Sigma experience and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication with hourly shop floor personnel and management.
• Preferred experience with Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Support activities for a product line, project, or related components.
• Be a fully contributing member of the engineering team.
• Provide engineering support to sustaining production in CNC environments.
• Create manufacturing documentation including BOMs and routing instructions.
• Lead and follow through on customer-driven and internal change controls.
• Lead manufacturing engineering for new product development and translate designs to manufacturable processes.
• Implement DFM/DFA feedback based on early prototype builds.
• Oversee design changes transfer from design to manufacturing.
• Monitor quality and field performance, identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with procurement, quality, planning and logistics teams.
