Job summary

Applied Materials seeks a New Product Manufacturing Engineer to commercialize designs into volume production. You will review designs for manufacturability, create ECOs, and manage UG/NX models and Teamcenter access to support NPI and subsequent volume runs.

The role requires strong problem solving, supplier collaboration, and knowledge of BOMs, DFx principles, and manufacturing processes to drive cost and quality improvements across products.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related field with manufacturing/engineering experience.
• 4+ years manufacturing/engineering experience; 5-7 years preferred.
• Knowledge of CAD/UG-NX and Teamcenter; familiarity with BOM and ECOs.
• Proficient with MS Office and data tools; able to interface with suppliers.
• Experience with DFx, producibility analysis, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate release of New Products and product improvements with engineering and operations.
• Launch, release, and implement engineering change orders and SMBOMs.
• Develop and maintain Master layouts in UG/NX and manage options/variants.
• Engage with suppliers to resolve manufacturability and process issues.
• Support new product builds, issue resolution, and transition to volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with operations, design engineering and product management for feasible solutions.
