Job summary

Hexion seeks a Product Manager – Material Management/Plant Support to strengthen our Building and Construction adhesives platform. You will manage recipes, optimize materials, and ensure compliance, working with SAP and cross-functional teams.

You will lead technical teammates, drive process improvements, and uphold safety and housekeeping standards on site in Columbus, OH. A chemistry-related degree and experience with resins are preferred to enhance product quality.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, material management, and structural adhesives technology.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in data entry and SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
• Familiarity with EH&S regulations relevant to chemical manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate recipe entry and edits in material management systems (e.g., SAP).
• Lab cooks to optimize materials for PF/MF/UF resins.
• Coordinate and execute changes and blends per BU needs.
• Review recipes for accuracy and compliance with production standards.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting to plant operations.
• Drive process optimization via data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance.
