Futures start here. Where first steps, new friendships, and confident learners are born. At KinderCare Learning Companies, the first and only early childhood education provider recognized with the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, we offer a variety of early education and child care options for families. Whether it’s KinderCare Learning Centers, Champions, or Crème de la Crème, we build confidence for kids, families, and the future we share. And we want you to join us in shaping it—in neighborhoods, at work, and in schools nationwide.

At KinderCare Learning Companies, you’ll use your skills and expertise to support the work (and fun) that happens in our sites and centers every day. From marketers and strategists to financial analysts and data engineers, and so much more, we’re all passionate about crafting a world where children, families, and organizations can thrive.

Join our team as a Product Manager focused on Subsidy Management activities that support our families receiving tuition assistance, where you will lead strategy, discovery, and execution of digital products that support subsidy enrollment, payment, and authorization workflows across our organization. You'll partner closely with Subsidy managers, Operations, IT, and engineering teams to modernize tools and processes used to manage complex and variable government and private program requirements.

You will own and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle—ensuring alignment to business goals, delivering seamless user experiences for internal teams and families, and supporting compliance with federal and state-level subsidy regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve the Subsidy product strategy, roadmap and backlog in alignment with business goals and regulatory needs.
  • Partner with subsidy & operations teams to understand core user workflows, pain points, and opportunities for automation.
  • Lead discovery efforts to define MVPs and long-term solutions for key problems, such as authorization processing, agency communication, and payment accuracy.
  • Translate business needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria and guide teams through refinement and development.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver iterative improvements in the subsidy tech stack.
  • Monitor industry and regulatory changes to ensure product compliance with subsidy program requirements.
  • Support change management efforts and field enablement for new tools or system enhancements.
  • Analyze and report on product outcomes, including impact on operational efficiency, payment timeliness, and family experience.
  • Serve as the product owner in Agile ceremonies and planning processes, ensuring backlog health and sprint readiness.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital product management or related roles, ideally in financial services, education, healthcare, or government services.
  • Ability to lead research initiatives both internally & externally to develop product ideation & discovery efforts that can be prioritized within your product roadmap
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional initiatives that require financial regulatory complexity and operational scale.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, including working with operations, engineering, legal, and compliance.
  • Experience with process-heavy systems, such as case management, billing, eligibility processing, or document workflows.
  • Proven ability to decompose complex problems and deliver scalable, iterative solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to use data to drive decisions and measure success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and product development frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in launching internal tools used by customer support or field teams.
  • Experience with Fintech applications, complex government funding management, social services, or childcare operations.
  • Experience working in regulated environments or with state/federal reimbursement programs.

Our benefits meet you where you are. We’re here to help our employees navigate the integration of work and life:

  • Know your whole family is supported with discounted child care benefits.
  • Breathe easy with medical, dental, and vision benefits for your family (and pets, too!).
  • Feel supported in your mental health and personal growth with employee assistance programs.
  • Feel great and thrive with access to health and wellness programs, paid time off and discounts for work necessities, such as cell phones.
  • … and much more.

We operate research-backed, accredited, and customizable programs in more than 2,000 sites and centers across 40 states and the District of Columbia. As we expand, we’re matching the needs of more and more families, dynamic work environments, and diverse communities from coast to coast. Because we believe every family deserves access to high-quality child care, no matter who they are or where they live. Every day, you’ll help bring this mission to life by building community and delivering exceptional experiences. And if you’re anything like us, you’ll come for the work, and stay for the people.
