Job summary

Check is seeking a Product Manager to own the Payouts domain within its embedded payroll infrastructure. You’ll work closely with engineering, leadership, and partner software companies to ensure reliable payouts and to shape next-gen payment methods.

You will manage end-to-end execution, advocate for quality, and apply strong judgment on when to escalate or act independently. This role blends technical focus with partner-facing collaboration across multiple industries.

Qualifications

• Product management experience in technology companies.
• Ability to execute well-scoped work with minimal rework.
• Comfort partnering with engineering, operations and external partners to drive a project to completion.

Responsibilities

• Own execution on Payouts end-to-end, from ACH today toward same-day pay and new payment methods.
• Take a well-scoped problem and run with it — you’ll be trusted to execute thoroughly and with strong judgment, not just to check boxes.
• Sweat the details: catch edge cases before they ship and hold a high bar for quality, with minimal need for rework.
• Know when to make the call yourself and when to loop in your manager — escalation judgment matters as much as independent execution.
• Partner closely with your dedicated engineering counterpart and cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, partners) to ship reliably.
• Connect directly with Check's partners to understand how payouts show up in their day-to-day, and translate that into product decisions.
