Descripción de la vacante

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, Inc. seeks a product manager to own the strategy and roadmap for buyer-facing discovery and transaction surfaces. You will collaborate with engineering and design to scope, sequence, and ship features that improve search and the buyer journey across marketplaces.

You will turn customer problems into clear PRDs and release plans, define success metrics, and drive cross-functional execution end-to-end, including international rollout and stakeholder communication.

Formación

  • 3+ years in product management for consumer-facing web products where customers complete transactions.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership from problem definition through launch and iteration.
  • Strong written communication: translating complex tradeoffs for engineers and executives in a single document.
  • Comfort with APIs and data movement between services; credible in discussing implementation tradeoffs.
  • Fluency with product analytics and a habit of defining and monitoring metrics.

Responsabilidades

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for buyer-facing discovery and transaction surfaces, aligned to business priorities.
  • Turn customer and business problems into clear written product definitions: one-pagers, PRDs, design briefs and release plans.
  • Partner daily with engineering and design to scope, sequence and ship, making tradeoff calls when timelines or capacity are constrained.
  • Improve search relevance and the discovery journey so buyers reach the right equipment with less effort.
  • Deliver and evolve the buying formats the marketplace offers, spanning auction bidding and fixed-price purchase.
  • Define success measures before launch, ensure they are instrumented, and use results to decide what comes next.
  • Work with upstream platform and listings teams whose services this experience depends on, representing buyer needs in roadmaps.
  • Support international rollout, where the same experience ships across multiple countries, languages and regulatory contexts.
  • Keep stakeholders and leadership current on progress, risks and outcomes without being chased for it.
