U.S. News & World Report is hiring a Product Manager for Insurance products (home, renters, small business) to shape the roadmap and deliver user-centered features. You will partner with leadership to understand user needs, conduct deep research, and define requirements across multiple teams.

The role emphasizes collaboration, speed, and growth within a supportive culture. The role is hybrid (New York and Washington, DC preferred) with remote options available nationwide.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in product management, preferably in financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with project management and stakeholder management.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Empathetic approach to understanding users and customers.
• Keen to learn complex aspects of product management.
• Detail-oriented, organized and good time management.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum and Product Owner role.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Director of Product Management for the Insurance division.
• Contribute to a strategic roadmap balancing user needs, business goals and company objectives.
• Oversee existing products and define new features based on customer feedback.
• Test quickly or precisely as appropriate and adjust solutions when hypotheses fail.
• Manage multiple streams of discovery and analysis.
• Conduct extensive primary and secondary research to inform product decisions; measure customer success metrics.
• Ensure requirements are thorough, testable and visually successful.
• Collaborate across teams (Tech, Design, Marketing, Editorial, Compliance) to deliver high-quality work.
