Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Product Manager for the Power product team to support Busbar assembly products globally. You will oversee the full lifecycle from strategy to execution, working across Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to align roadmaps and go-to-market plans.

You will lead market sensing, segmentation, and competitive benchmarking to shape portfolio strategy and growth, including new product development, launches, and post-launch management.

Qualifications

  • 4-year technical or business degree required; Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Prior P&L management experience is preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally between 10% and 25%.
  • 3+ years of product management or technical sales experience.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop market segment-specific strategies and roadmaps aligned with business goals.
  • Plan product launches and marketing/sales plans; provide demand forecast inputs.

Job Overview

The Data and Devices (D&D) business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Product Manager to join the Power product team. The Power Solutions product portfolio includes Power supply, Internal Power, Distribution, and Busbar Assembly products. The focus of this position will be global support of our Busbar assembly product portfolio.

The Product Manager will oversee all aspects of a global product line or portfolio, encompassing new product development, manufacturing, marketing, and sales. The Product Manager manages the portfolio as a “mini” General Manager. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity planning to meet sales and gross (or standard) margin targets.

This role requires strong strategic thinking, experience working across regions, and a strong proactive work ethic. This role must collaborate closely cross-functionally with colleagues in Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to gain alignment and drive the successful execution of the product roadmaps.

Short Description
Market Sensing & Strategy Development
  • Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Conduct market segmentation exercises to develop market segment-specific strategies.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking
  • Define segment–specific value propositions that beat the competition
  • Develop product roadmaps that align with business strategy
  • Design a go-to-market strategy, inclusive of channel strategy and partnerships
  • Work with R&D and operations in the development of new products to meet current and future customer requirements
  • Manage the product lifecycle
Execution – New Product Development & Launch
  • Be the opportunity champion for development projects
  • Plans product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans
  • Provide demand forecast inputs to S&OP
  • Attend customer meetings in support of winning new business
  • Exercise thought leadership
Execution – Post Launch Product Management
  • Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolio
  • Deliver sustained profitable growth
  • Enable sales to promote the product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition
  • Manage special price requests
  • Track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution of gaps
  • Be the champion for the resolution of product issues (e.g., quality, delivery, etc.)
Qualifications
What your background should look like:
  • 4-year technical or business degree required, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
  • Prior P&L management experience is preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally between 10% and 25%
  • 3+ years of product management or technical sales experience

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $82,000 – $123,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
