Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking a Product Manager to own the e-commerce recommendation roadmap for short-video and livestream experiences. You will work with R&D, ML engineers, data scientists, and business operations to translate strategic needs into scalable algorithms from ideation to launch.

You will tailor strategies for different markets, accounting for regional behaviors and inventory differences while driving engagement, discovery, and conversion across global platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above with 1+ years of product management experience.
• Strong quantitative capabilities to define metrics, analyze algorithm performance, run A/B experiments, and derive actionable strategic insights.
• Ability to independently manage end-to-end project lifecycles, drive cross-functional alignment, handle complex matrixed environments, and solve unstructured problems.
• Details oriented, self-driven and curious to learn and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• 3+ years of product management experience, ideally in recommendation, search, or advertising strategies.
• Experience in e-commerce, livestreaming, or machine learning applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the product roadmap for e-commerce recommendation strategies across short-video and livestream feeds, maximizing discovery efficiency, user engagement, and conversion.
• Deeply understand buyer journeys, creator dynamics, and merchant pain points to design multi-objective recommendation logic that delivers sustainable, long-term value to the ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Operations to translate complex business needs into scalable algorithmic solutions from ideation to launch.
• Iterate and tailor recommendation strategies to local market nuances, accounting for regional consumer behaviors, inventory differences, and cultural preferences across overseas markets.
