Job summary

The University of California - San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a product manager to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of features for an online research platform used to conduct clinical and cognitive studies. You will translate researcher needs into actionable requirements, coordinate with engineers and study teams, and help drive adoption through clear documentation and training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in neuroscience, biology, cognitive science or a related field with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Experience identifying and prioritizing issues for online research platforms.
  • Ability to translate user needs into product requirements and actionable tasks.
  • Strong organization and project management skills to lead multiple concurrent studies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize features and workflows for an online research platform.
  • Translate researcher needs into product requirements and feature enhancements.
  • Lead technical discussions with advisory groups and stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison across Neuroscape and collaborators to ensure delivery of technologies.
  • Coordinate feature enhancements across the full product lifecycle, including scoping, development, QA, deployment, and iteration.
  • Explain platform capabilities to drive adoption and effective use.
  • Develop progress reports with milestones, risks, and readiness.
  • Provide training and technical consultation to users.
  • Maintain end-user documentation, change logs, and release notes.
  • Track and report metrics to support data-driven decisions.
