Role Summary

As a Product Manager for Data Platform, you will develop the strategy and roadmap for scaling Splunk’s search platform components. Your technical expertise in distributed systems, prioritization skills, and ability to communicate with customers will be essential. You will align technical details with business goals and work closely with cross-functional teams to incorporate customer insights into product development.

What You’ll Do

• Own the search platform powering analytics for critical applications
• Engage with customers and field teams to identify product gaps and set priorities
• Develop requirements, user stories, wireframes, and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with developers and architects to brainstorm solutions and define success metrics
• Build relationships with stakeholders to gather needs and validate solutions
• Coordinate with teams across functions to ensure alignment and progress

Must-have Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in product management, with a Bachelor’s degree
• Proven success in platform product areas with measurable outcomes
• Experience working with software administrators, cloud operations, and technical architects
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for stakeholder alignment
• Data-driven prioritization and ownership of product areas

Nice-to-have Qualifications

• Knowledge of large-scale distributed systems or databases
• Experience with software development lifecycle, automation, and certification
