Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Product Manager for Cross Domain Solutions (CDS/MLS) to lead the CDS/MLS product lines within the Protected Payload Technologies area. You will guide strategy, align with engineering, business development, and finance, and oversee development, production, and delivery while monitoring performance.

The role requires a proactive leader capable of shaping strategic roadmaps, evaluating business cases, and managing discretionary investments.

Qualifications

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
Minimum 7 years of experience in product management, program management, or a related role in the aerospace, defense, or technology industries.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive program execution across multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, investment decision-making, and financial forecasting.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for the CDS/MLS product line.
Lead cross-functional teams in the development, production, and delivery of CDS and MLS solutions.
Drive investment decision-making processes, including business cases for IRAD, capital, and other projects.
Support portfolio strategies, including financial forecasting, proposal preparation, and Gate Reviews.
Partner with Business Development, Finance, Engineering, and other teams to ensure timely delivery.
Collaborate to leverage common architectures across Collins RTX for CDS/MLS solutions.
Monitor performance, identify risks, and coordinate corrective actions.
Build relationships with customers and provide regular program updates.
Oversee discretionary investments and participate in monthly forecasts and reviews.
Directly manage programs as required.
