Job summary

Clayco is seeking a forward-thinking AI/automation product lead to build the front door for ideas. You will discover, size, and prioritize use cases, then write the requirements that analytics, AI product, and automation teams build against. You will also learn to say no with a sponsor-acceptable rationale.

The role funds and sponsors this portfolio at the executive level, shaping two years of work and influencing the company's digital transformation across nationwide projects.

Qualifications

• Experience translating business needs into measurable AI/automation opportunities.
• Ability to size value and effort for use cases with honesty and clarity.
• Strong written and verbal communication with engineers and executives.
• Comfortable saying no when a case cannot be delivered this quarter.
• Nice to have: exposure to enterprise project systems (e.g., Procore) or similar.

Responsibilities

• Run discovery with operating groups to identify and qualify use cases.
• Size value and effort so ranking actually reflects impact.
• Own the use-case portfolio and the review forum that re-ranks it.
• Write clear, testable requirements for analytics, AI product, and automation teams.
• Track realised value after delivery and feed lessons into sizing for next cases.
• Set boundaries and rationale that sponsors can accept.
