Job Summary:

The AI Network Product Manager at Supermicro is responsible for defining, promoting, and delivering Supermicro Ethernet switch products and next‑generation AI‑powered networking solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives. This role encompasses product management, network product management, AI network product management, program management, and solution product management, including promotion, planning, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, and defining the product and solution vision. The AI Network Product Manager works closely with engineering, purchasing, contract manufacturers, vendors, sales, marketing, support, and key customers to manage the full lifecycle of hardware and software capabilities from concept and roadmap through launch, adoption, and end of life (EOL) ensuring high‑quality execution and that the products support Supermicro’s overall strategy, revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of Ethernet switch and AI‑enhanced networking products and solutions, from product kick‑off through launch, growth, and EOL.
  • Work closely with sales to promote switch and AI network solutions to target customer accounts, identify new opportunities, and drive design‑wins and revenue.
  • Execute in‑depth research on customer applications, network architectures, and AI/automation use cases; translate findings into clear product requirements and solution definitions.
  • Define and maintain product and solution roadmaps (hardware, software, and AI features), prioritizing based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Act as program owner for key product and solution initiatives, coordinating cross‑functional activities (engineering, purchasing, CM/ODM, vendors, operations, support) to deliver on time, on scope, and on budget.
  • Ensure successful time‑to‑market (TTM) launches through strong project and program management, tracking milestones, resolving risks, and driving issue closure.
  • Drive product quality improvements throughout design, validation, manufacturing, and deployment stages, partnering with engineering, quality, and operations teams.
  • Define AI‑driven features for network optimization (e.g., telemetry analytics, anomaly detection, capacity planning, intent‑based policies) and work with data/ML and network engineering teams to deliver them.
  • Develop and maintain product documentation including positioning statements, solution briefs, data sheets, competitive battle cards, and internal sales/SE training materials.
  • Deliver compelling product and solution training to internal sales, field engineering, and partner teams, and present solutions externally to customers, partners, and at industry events.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis (features, performance, ecosystem, pricing) and use insights to sharpen product positioning, roadmap decisions, and win strategies.
  • Build and nurture an ecosystem of partners (software, silicon, systems integrators, and cloud/service providers) to deliver complete AI‑enabled network solutions.
  • Coordinate demos, proof‑of‑concepts, and solution validations with customers; provide pre‑sales and post‑sales support for critical opportunities.
  • Drive critical technical and customer issues to closure by aligning resources, engaging with engineering and support teams, and communicating resolution plans to stakeholders.
  • Champion the voice of the customer and the field within the organization, ensuring that products and solutions support the company’s overall strategy and deliver measurable customer outcomes.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics (adoption, revenue, margin, quality, and customer satisfaction) and use insights to refine roadmap, GTM, and operational plans
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, business-related preferred
  • 5+ years of business development, sales, or marketing experience preferred
  • 3+ years of customer-facing experience preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of networking is required
  • Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment
  • Effective organization and planning skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional organizations
  • Creative thinker, to develop new strategies and solutions
  • Ability to lead extended teams and meet deadlines
  • Strong understanding of market trends and customer needs
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and problem‑solving skills
  • Solid communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
  • Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
Salary Range

$130,000-$160,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
