Job summary

Smarty is seeking a Product Management Intern to help connect customer needs to real solutions and assist in shaping a roadmap from idea to launch. You’ll work closely with the product team in our Orem office, gaining hands-on exposure to research, requirements, and cross-functional collaboration.

This paid internship runs from January 2027 to August 2027, with a minimum of 15 hours/week (Winter/Spring) and potential for more during Summer terms.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Product Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Interest or coursework in product management, business strategy, or technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with data to support decisions and recommendations.
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Preference: familiarity with location intelligence data, GIS, address validation, or geocoding.

Responsibilities

• Assist in researching user needs and market trends to inform product decisions.
• Help translate customer requirements into clear, detailed product requirements for the team.
• Support go-to-market efforts by partnering with marketing on messaging and launch plans.
• Collaborate with engineering, UX, and data teams to track feature progress and quality.
• Help gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate product performance.
• Assist with product training materials and sales support as needed.
• Participate in company cultural initiatives, and apply the learned principles in your work and in your interactions with others.
