Reports to: Director of Product Management
Position Summary:
The Product Line Manager will be responsible for executing G-Form’s product strategy, leading line architecture, briefing design and development teams, and managing the product creation process from concept to consumer. This role also leads the Go-To- Market calendar across multiple categories and ensures smooth cross-departmental collaboration. This is a strategic and highly hands-on role. The ideal candidate is organized, self- motivated, proactive, and collaborative—able to manage their workload independently and support a fast-paced, growing business. This role will work closely alongside the Design and Product Development team.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
1. Analyze market trends and competitive landscape including features/benefits and pricing to inform and evolve product line strategy.
2.Define and own the product roadmap, seasonal direction, and long-term product planning.
3.Maintain responsibility for the targeted revenue margins of assigned product categories.
4.Ensure clear, proactive communication between Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, and other departments on all product matters.
5. Collaborate with domestic and international vendors to manage development timelines, material sourcing, and cost targets.
6.Help to drive product development processes including reviewing materials, tech packs, and prototypes with cross-functional teams.
7.Manage the tracking and coordination of testing samples, certification test results, and compliance documentation to meet required performance standards.
8. Partner with Operations to align top-level forecasting and delivery schedules.
9.Ensure smooth collaboration across teams to deliver products that meet margin goals, market needs, certification requirements, and development timelines.
10.Create and deliver compelling presentations for internal and external audiences including sales meetings, customer previews, and line reviews.
11.Represent the Product team in meetings when the Director of Product Management is unavailable, capturing and relaying concise, actionable notes and next steps.
12.Maintain an organized and efficient sample management system including archiving and filing product samples and documentation.
Skills/Qualifications:
• MBA is a plus but not required.
•7–10 years of experience in product management and/or product development, preferably in the sporting goods or apparel industry.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent presentation development and delivery capabilities.
•Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
•Experience in product lifecycle management, line planning, and cross-functional communication.
•Highly organized and self-motivated: Takes initiative, owns their workload, and meets deadlines without hesitation.
•Team-first attitude: Willing to pitch in across roles in a small, dynamic office environment.
•Strong communicator: Clear and confident in meetings, with the ability to take feedback and represent the team in others’ absence.
•Growth-minded and strategic: Brings vision and ideas for business growth while executing details with precision.
•Curious confidence: Confident but eager to learn—receptive to collaboration and feedback.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This role operates primarily in an office environment with standard office equipment. Occasional lifting and organizing of product samples (up to 25 lbs.) is required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time. Standard office hours are 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. Some flexibility is allowed. This position is based out of our Providence office and is not a remote position. Fridays are an optional remote day.
Travel:
Up to 20% travel for key account and strategic partner visits, trade shows, inspiration and development trips, and industry events. Trips may range from single-day to 2–3 days.
