Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a PLM/Engineering professional in Sacramento to drive part attribution, PLM part creation, and BOM development. You will collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure accurate data and timely changes.

The role includes handling Engineering Changes, deviations, and stop ships, plus supporting logistics and production communication to optimize material planning and execution.

Qualifications

• NX experience is a plus.
• Cadence/Allegro experience is a plus.
• Manage product data.
• Daily checking on tasks within your queue.
• Part of product program.
• Know how to triage the task.
• Assigned an FTE mentor.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate information to complete part attribution and drawing/attachment requirements.
• Create and release manufacturers, manufacturer and vendor parts, and business part numbers in the PLM system, including data collection and documentation review for accuracy.
• Create and release complex Bills of Materials for electronics, mechanical and systems based on input from Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
• Initiate and manage Engineering Changes, Non-Revision changes, Deviations and Stop Ships.
• Support Logistics with part numbering for asset tracking and prototype shipments.
• Assist in communicating product configuration requirements between Supply Chain and production to facilitate material planning and order fulfillment.
• Advise on best practices for documenting changes on new and existing products.
• End user support and problem resolution.
