Job summary

Mural is building the next generation of regulated fintech infrastructure and payments platforms. You will lead a pod, own end-to-end product strategy, and work closely with COO, CTO, and engineers to translate thesis into actionable roadmaps.

As an early product hire, you will prototype, ship code, and shape how customers interact with our API and platform. Expect high autonomy, frequent customer interactions, and cross-functional collaboration in NYC.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years across engineering and product, including time as a professional software engineer.
• Payments/fintech infrastructure domain experience.
• AI-native builder using agentic tools daily.
• Opinionated and visionary; form a thesis and defend it.
• Customer-obsessed; talk to customers to validate decisions.
• Built for ambiguity; create and own product processes in a regulated domain.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for your pod and drive end-to-end strategy.
• Lead a dedicated engineering pod with autonomy and accountability for outcomes.
• Collaborate with BD, FDE, and leadership to ensure product-sign-off before customer commitments.
• Prototype and ship features; contribute code to the public API surface.
