Job summary

OpenAI seeks a Product Engagement Specialist on the User Operations team in San Francisco, offering a hybrid model with three days in the office and relocation support. You will be a hands-on systems builder, creating workflows, data systems, and tools that connect user voice to product and engineering improvements.

You will lead launch coordination, enable cross-functional teams, and design scalable feedback loops to drive adoption and measurable impact across our products.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product launch coordination within a customer support or product context.
• Experience taking ambiguous problems from discovery through delivery and adoption.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, data flows, analytics, automation, or scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own scalable systems for launch readiness, feedback capture, triage, synthesis, and routing.
• Coordinate product launches across internal User Operations teams and external third party teams to ensure seamless execution and support readiness.
• Develop scalable feedback loops between support teams and product/engineering teams, ensuring customer insights drive product development.
• Be the voice of the user, advocating for needs and pain points in product discussions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to align on launch goals and timelines.
• Lead efforts to document and standardize launch procedures for repeatable processes as the product line grows.
• Monitor post-launch performance and gather data to evaluate impact and inform improvements.
• Identify risks during rollouts and propose mitigation strategies.
