Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Product Engagement Manager on the User Operations team based in San Francisco. You will lead a small team focused on ensuring successful product launches, equipping teams with tools and knowledge for scalable rollouts, and translating user insights into actionable product improvements.

You’ll build feedback loops, advocate for users, and partner across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to align on goals and timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience leading product enablement or launch-readiness at scale.
• Experience shipping tooling or automations that scale beyond a single team.
• Background in product management with automation and data-driven decisions.
• Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships with Product, Engineering, and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team coordinating product launches across internal and external teams.
• Set the team’s strategy and priorities, translate them into clear goals and quality standards, and allocate capacity to deliver against them.
• Build a high-performing team through coaching, feedback, development, and performance management.
• Build scalable feedback loops between support, Product, and Engineering so customer insights inform product development and strategy.
• Advocate for users by representing their needs in product and engineering discussions.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to align on launch goals and timelines.
• Monitor post-launch performance and gather data to inform improvements.
• Document and standardize launch procedures to make them repeatable and scalable.
• Identify launch risks and propose solutions to minimize disruption to customers.
• Report on feedback-loop performance, including insights and recommendations for the product roadmap.
