Base Power in Austin, Texas is seeking a Deployments Engineer to manage the end-to-end process architecture for their warehousing and logistics. This role involves creating systems and workflows to enable efficient operations across new markets and products.
The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of experience in process or operations engineering, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate with manufacturing teams. This startup role will demand adaptability as projects evolve quickly.
Base is America’s next-generation power company. We’re rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization–electricity–by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that is transforming today’s fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time.
Base is launching new products, new deployment models, and new facilities in rapid succession. As we scale from early-stage operations to a high-throughput deployment engine, we need someone who can engineer the processes that hold it all together. We are hiring a Deployments Engineer to own the end-to-end process architecture for our warehousing and logistics function—creating the playbooks, systems, and workflows that will allow us to replicate successful operations across any new market or product.
This is a process engineering role with a strong operational execution component. You will be embedded with the warehouse and manufacturing teams, solving hard problems with a first-principles mindset and leaving behind scalable, documented systems.
The Deployments Warehousing & Logistics team is responsible for the physical infrastructure that makes Base installs possible—managing warehouse locations, orchestrating inter-warehouse transfers, running final-mile logistics, and ensuring inventory accuracy across our internal systems. We solve the difficult, high impact problems that determine whether crews show up to job sites ready to work. Joining this team means owning processes that directly impact Base’s ability to scale and deliver on its mission.
Please note: Base is a startup, which means priorities shift and evolve quickly. Your role may expand or change based on the needs of the business at any given time, so the responsibilities listed may not be exhaustive.
