Job summary

Abacus is hiring a Product Integrity Lead for the Northeast, MD area to oversee garment construction QA and ensure all garments meet company standards.

You will lead the inspection team, develop QC procedures, and coordinate with production to address quality issues. A background in textile or fashion and experience in garment manufacturing are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the inspection team.
• Develop and maintain QC procedures and standards for garment production.
• Spec garments to confirm target measurements are met.
• Conduct a QC inspection with ASN-related AQL levels.
• Notify production management of quality issues and rejections.
• Prepare ASN AQL inspection reports.
• Guide the inspection team on how to inspect and proceed with 100% inspections.

Abacus is looking to hire a Product Integrity Lead in the Northeast, MD area.

The Garment Product Integrity Lead is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance of the specifications of garment construction. This role ensures that all garments meet company standards and specifications, maintaining high levels of quality throughout the inspection process.

Qualifications

Previous experiences in garment/sewing inspection. Must know how to measure and inspect high-end garments. Must know how to measure in inches.

• Responsible for implementing and monitoring inspection team.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards for garment production.
• Spec garments to confirm they achieve the target measurement.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent communication, and organizational skills
• Ability/willingness to learn new skills/processes and improve current skill.
• Conduct a Quality Control inspection 2.5 – 1.5 AQL for each purchase order (ASN)
• Work with the team daily to call out any production issues.
• Notify production Manager/ Supervisor if any production is not meeting quality expectations.
• ASN AQL inspection reports
• Requested PP / TOP sample if needed to compare production garments.
• Communicate team any production rejections.
• Communicate inspection team how to inspect and how to proceed with the 100% inspections.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in textile, or fashion design.
• Experience in textile factories or weaving companies.
• Strong knowledge of garment production processes and quality standards.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
