Job summary

AMD is seeking an experienced product engineering leader to manage and drive end-to-end product cost attainment from concept until ramp in production, with direct visibility to the Executive Team. The role requires leading cross-functional cost modeling and alignment across Ops, Sourcing, and BU teams to deliver cost-effective, high-performance products.

You will champion design-for-cost practices, organize phase-gate reviews, and coordinate with manufacturing and procurement forums during NPI

Qualifications

• Experience leading product engineering and program management for complex SOCs or foundry technologies.
• Experience managing large, high-impact engineering and business projects.
• Experience working with diverse, matrix-driven organizations and virtual teams.
• Exposure to process technology, SOC or substrate design, manufacturing.
• Familiarity with program management tools and processes.
• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Forecast cost entitlement in all phases of product life cycle.
• Manage product cost stakeholder reviews to align inputs.
• Own input sanity, estimation process, cost reviews and modeling requirements.
• Identify and drive product/BU cost improvement projects via cross-functional teams.
• Represent OPS/SEO in cost estimation and forecasting discussions with BU/SET during NPI.
• Organize product phase-gate reviews with Ops/Engineering/Finance/BUs through NPI phases.
• Align SEO functions to attain best-in-class product execution, cost, and margin.
