Job summary

FLSmidth's Product Expert for Separation in Salt Lake City leads design and project management for thickener drives, lifts, and flotation spare parts, coordinating with global centers to meet scope, schedule and budget.

The role collaborates with service, product specialists and procurement to optimize costs, and travels to sites to support fabrication, installation, and sales efforts.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years mechanical engineering design experience, preferably in Mining.
• Expertise on Separations products with Thickeners Drives & Flotation.
• Proficient with engineering design tools and PLM (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Enovia).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerances, materials, and quality standards.
• Strong communication and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on modernization proposals and standardization of parts.
• Prepare fabrication and assembly drawings using AutoCAD and 3D models in SolidWorks.
• Develop RSPL, FTS and Spare Parts Kits for projects and installed base.
• Review NCRs and lead closure and corrective actions.
• Identify and suggest correct or alternate part numbers for repairs.
• Deliver proposal inputs and projects per scope, schedule, and budget.
• Review and approve design drawings.
• Collaborate with global resources to complete deliverables.
• Travel to job sites and regional offices as required for support.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers to identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate with the team to achieve goals.
