Job summary

Plaid in the United States is seeking a Strategic Finance Lead to partner with Engineering and Product, owning product-level revenue and gross margin forecasting and the analytic frameworks that guide capital deployment. You will lead finance partnerships across key product areas, collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders, mentor junior staff, and contribute to board-level analyses.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of FP&A and strategic finance experience, including product or engineering finance at a high-growth tech company.
• Strong command of product P&L mechanics, revenue forecasting, and software unit economics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences.
• Mentor junior team members and partner with Product/Engineering leaders.

Responsibilities

• Product-Level Forecasting: own revenue and gross margin forecasts for product areas.
• Resource Allocation & Capacity Planning: headcount planning and OpEx discipline.
• Performance Visibility: KPI tracking, variance analysis and risk identification.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: finance partner to Product & Engineering with GTM alignment.
• Board & Executive Materials: contribute analysis for quarterly Board deck.
• Mentorship: coach junior team members.
