Job summary

Generac Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a motivated engineering intern to work with our design team in Wisconsin. The on-site program runs May through August 2027, with full-time hours (40 per week) at our headquarters in Waukesha and other Wisconsin locations.

Interns will create CAD models and drawings, support BOM updates, and gain hands-on experience across product development, testing, and validation. Under supervision, you will develop technical skills using Pro-E and AutoCAD, collaborate

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Understanding or working knowledge of Pro-E and/or AutoCAD experience.
• Microsoft Office experience (including Excel).
• Proficient oral and written communication and ability to write clearly.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers to fulfill design requests for products.
• Create 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerances, and BOM changes.
• Develop Pro-E models, drawings, and templates; modify BOMs as needed.
• Collaborate with teams to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly and service.
