Job summary

Tyler Union, a division of McWane, Inc., seeks a Product Engineer to design, validate, and continuously improve the trugrip product line and related waterworks components. You will perform hands-on engineering work including modeling, drafting, analysis, and testing, collaborating with Operations, Foundry, Quality, and Sales to meet performance, manufacturability, and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Materials Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (metals, castings, or similar).
• Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
• Knowledge of casting processes, machining, coatings, assembly, and inspection methods preferred.
• Master's degree in engineering or engineering management is a plus.
• Understanding of waterworks products and industry standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D models, drawings, and specifications for true grip products.
• Assist tooling design, simulation, dimensional analysis, and manufacturability improvements.
• Support engineering reviews, changes, and documentation.
• Conduct root cause analysis for field issues and quality concerns.
• Collaborate with Foundry, Quality, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure feasible designs.
