Job summary

MACOM in Plano, Texas, is seeking a Product Engineer for RF/MMIC products. You will support development from engineering samples through production launch, working with Product Management, Design, Test, Reliability, Applications, and Manufacturing to characterize products and analyze data.

This role emphasizes RF/microwave design, testing, characterization, and collaboration on NPI, yield improvement, and datasheet preparation.

Qualifications

  • Requires B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with RF design, electronics testing, and semiconductor devices.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, JMP, LabVIEW or similar tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support product development from engineering samples to production launch.
  • Collect and analyze production and characterization data.
  • Develop and validate production test plans and support RF/microwave measurements.
  • Assist root-cause investigations for product and manufacturing issues.
  • Contribute to yield improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Prepare datasheets, technical reports, and engineering documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introductions (NPI).
  • Support production release and sustaining engineering activities.

This role provides hands-on experience throughout the product lifecycle, from engineering samples through production launch and sustaining support.Working closely with Product Management, Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Applications Engineering, and Manufacturing Operations, you will participate in product characterization, data analysis, test development, yield improvement, and new product introductions.
