Job summary

MACOM is seeking a Product Engineer for New Product Introduction in New Jersey. The role oversees the product life cycle, drives cost improvements, and interfaces with Design, Test, Applications, and Quality Engineering to ensure robust product development and reliable performance.

You will work with bench instruments and lab equipment to characterize products, perform tests, and analyze data to support successful production launch and ongoing quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• MS is a plus but not required.
• Project management.
• Problem isolation/solving, test issue resolution, and yield enhancement.
• The use of bench instruments as well as other lab equipment for troubleshooting.
• Statistical methods and tools.
• Knowledge of product reliability and qualifications.
• Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons will be considered for this position.

Product Engineer, NPI

Key Responsibilities

• New Product Introduction – responsible for product life cycle management.

• Provide product development support which involves interfacing with Design, Test, Applications, and Quality Engineering.

Required Experience

• Minimum B.S. in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. MS is a plus but not required.
• Project management.
• Problem isolation/solving, test issue resolution, and yield enhancement.
• The use of bench instruments as well as other lab equipment for troubleshooting.
• Statistical methods and tools.
• Knowledge of product reliability and qualifications.
• Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position.

Desired Experience

• Product documentation, including drawing creation and engineering change processing.
• Lab equipment knowledge related to VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Digital and Real-Time Oscilloscope, etc.
• Hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Software programming.

The Salary Range for this position is $95,000 – $120,000 annual. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
