Job summary

Hyperexponential is hiring a People & Talent Product Engineer to own the full arc from problem framing and UX through to production, data models and infrastructure for internal tools, including a multi-level compensation platform.

You’ll work near People & Talent and partner with IT and Security to ensure security by design. This is autonomous, product-minded engineering that shapes how hx manages people operations in the AI era.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience as a full stack or product engineer, owning a tool or feature end to end, from spec through to production.
• Made significant UI/UX decisions with real users in mind, and can point to specific choices you made and why.
• Operated with real autonomy, as the primary or sole engineer on a project.
• Full stack development experience, front end and back end, including ownership of data models and infrastructure decisions.
• Worked with sensitive or regulated data, or is comfortable operating within data protection and security policy constraints.
• Bonus, not required: prior exposure to People, HR, or Talent systems or processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the full arc from problem framing to delivery for People & Talent tools, from simple utilities to the compensation platform.
• Make the UI/UX decisions that matter for how people experience these tools, turning needs into well-designed, intuitive interfaces.
• Turn front-end prototypes into production-ready full-stack products with data models and infrastructure.
• Spec new builds before coding, mapping the experience and delivery plan with the technical architecture.
• Iterate on live tools based on real user feedback, treating internal products with product rigor.
• Work with highly sensitive employee/compensation data, following hx's data protection and security policies.
• Grow into a specialist in product engineering for People & Talent, combining software engineering, UX, security, and people operations.
