Job summary

EQI Ltd. in the United States seeks a Product Engineer to ensure conformance and cradle-to-grave development across casting, forging, machining, and finishing processes.

The role requires 7+ years in metal casting and materials knowledge, GD&T proficiency, AIAG standards, and strong collaboration with global supply chains; travel up to 25% is required. You will lead PPAP submissions, support quotes, review designs for manufacturability and cost, and serve as the technical liaison to customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Materials Science from a four-year accredited college or university.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of metal castings and processes: Resin sand, Green sand, Vacuum Sand, Investment, Die casting.
• Proficient in print reading and interpretation for quoting, part design, and inspection.
• GD&T knowledge and gage design.
• Knowledge of AIAG standards (PFD, FMEA, Control Plans, APQP).
• Ability to travel (North America and overseas) up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all aspects of product conformance during development, from RFQ review to qualification and approval.
• Provide technical input during reviews of customer designs and RFQ packages.
• Interact with customers to understand requirements and verify compliance during RFQ, development, and PPAP.
• Lead PPAP submissions and resolve discrepancies with supply chain.
• Provide technical leadership in change management (ECN, PCR).
• Serve as primary technical contact for customers and supply chain.
