Job summary

Doncasters Precision Castings-New England, Groton, CT, is seeking a Senior Product Engineer with casting expertise to lead projects from quote through to production, applying metallurgical and manufacturing knowledge to develop superalloy investment castings to exact aerospace standards.

The role emphasizes problem solving, change leadership, collaboration with internal teams and suppliers, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a high‑precision environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Extensive experience in investment casting.
• Minimum of 10 years manufacturing industry experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from quote through to sales.
• Lead the introduction of new work and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Apply metallurgical, process and manufacturing engineering knowledge to define processes for economical development of superalloy investment castings to aerospace specs.
• Interpret data and implement actions to create efficient manufacturing processes.
• Ensure safety and quality considerations are paramount at all times.
• Support fabrications with exotic metals on site and exceed customer expectations.
