Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a Product Engineer to provide a technical interface between the customer and Special Metals. Responsibilities include addressing daily technical issues, understanding product end use and material constraints, and defining internal requirements to produce the product.

The role supports Sales, Manufacturing and Quality through technical reviews, process definition and specification evaluation, and providing technical direction on new products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; metallurgical or materials science preferred.
• Advanced degree and/or 1–3 years of experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Administer daily technical issues as directed by the Manager to ensure a reliable product.
• Define/approve process routes to meet material and end-use constraints.
• Maintain ongoing technical interface with the customer through meetings and discussions.
• Perform technical evaluations to address customer concerns.
• Investigate claims and document findings.
