Job summary

JMI Recruiting Services, LLC is assisting a client in the Cleveland, OH area with a Product Engineer – Refractory Components or Metal Castings position. The role focuses on mechanical engineering in metal casting and related processes, including ceramic cores and wax patterns, to drive quality and efficiency.

The successful candidate will apply Six Sigma, DOE, and data-driven methods to improve yields, collaborate with tooling vendors, and develop clear work instructions for manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Demonstrated experience in a mechanical or product engineering role.
• Proficient in metal casting, forging, or related manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Support die construction: conduct shrink factor analysis and develop gages and tooling for production and inspection of ceramic cores, wax patterns, and castings.
• Analyze and improve process yields using data analysis, statistical methods, DOE, and Six Sigma to identify and mitigate variables.
• Collaborate with tooling vendors to ensure optimal tooling solutions.
• Ensure dimensional quality of castings to meet customer specifications.
