Job summary

Eliason Corporation is seeking a Product Engineer to lead new product development from concept through prototype, validation, and production launch. You will work with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Sales, and other stakeholders to define scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables.

Apply DFMA, Lean and Continuous Improvement to ensure products are practical to manufacture, cost effective, well documented, and aligned with customer and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Experience creating clear, simple, and accurate instructions, procedures and technical documentation.
• Strong communication with internal teams, external customers, vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proficiency with 3D parametric design software (Inventor, Creo, SolidWorks).
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Strong Excel skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, professional work on schedule.
• Familiarity with engineering design processes including concept development, physical design, procurement support, testing, failure analysis, and PPAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development projects from concept through prototype, validation, and production launch.
• Design, redesign, and improve products for manufacturability, quality, and cost.
• Review existing product lines for cost reduction and simplification.
• Maintain accurate design documentation: CAD drawings, specs, BOMs, installation instructions, troubleshooting guides.
• Ensure designs meet customer specs, internal standards, regulatory requirements, and testing criteria.
• Coordinate with Sales, Process Engineers, Operations, Quality, and other stakeholders on scope, timing, risks, and launch needs.
• Identify and support new manufacturing technologies to improve KPIs.
• Communicate project status, risks, decisions needed, and next steps to leadership and teams.
