Job summary
Senneca Holdings in Kalamazoo, MI seeks an experienced Product Engineer to lead new product development from concept through prototype, validation and production launch. You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Sales to define scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables, applying DFMA, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
The role emphasizes manufacturing feasibility, cost effectiveness and thorough documentation to meet customer
Qualifications
- Clear, concise technical documentation and procedures.
- Strong communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Inventor/Creo/SolidWorks).
- Experience with AutoCAD and MS Excel.
Responsibilities
- Lead product development from concept to production launch.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
- Apply DFMA, Lean Manufacturing and CI principles to ensure manufacturability and cost targets.
- Maintain accurate design documentation and specifications.
- Ensure designs meet customer specs, standards and testing criteria.
