Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Product Engineer I in California to lead new product development and improve performance for window and door products. You will create prototypes, analyze current products, and ensure compliance with AAMA, WDMA, and related standards while coordinating with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience, with fenestration/construction familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• 2+ years of relevant engineering work preferred.
• Experience in fenestration and/or construction preferred.
• Ability to problem solve and work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Designs, prototypes, certifies, and launches new products.
• Analyzes current products to ensure specifications are maintained.
• Reviews feasibility of proposed products and designs.
• Maintains compliance with industry standards (AAMA, WDMA, etc.).
• Creates detailed drawings and data-rich reports for coordination.
• Manages Engineering Change Orders and Non-Standard Product Requests.
