Job summary

JOCO, based in New York City, is hiring a Product Engineer to blend product management with hands-on engineering. You will own the full lifecycle—from identifying opportunities to deploying and iterating on solutions for riders, partners, and staff.

You’ll work autonomously, design scalable systems, and leverage AI tools to accelerate development, shipping customer-facing apps and internal tools that boost growth and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering or product engineering with a track record of shipping products.
• Experience at an early-stage startup with limited resources and ownership over outcomes.
• Full-stack capabilities across frontend, backend, databases, and APIs.
• Excellent product judgment and customer empathy with measurable impact.
• Proven ability to own projects end-to-end from discovery to launch.
• Deep proficiency with AI-powered development tools and coding agents.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire product development lifecycle from discovery to deployment and iteration.
• Design and build customer-facing products and internal tools for riders, partners, and employees.
• Develop pragmatic, intuitive solutions that deliver measurable value for customers.
• Collaborate with Operations and Strategy to translate requirements into specifications.
• Architect scalable software systems and infrastructure to support growth.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate development and automate workflows.
• Make independent technical and product decisions balancing speed and impact.
• Continuously improve products, simplify workflows, and enhance user experience.
