Job summary

Littelfuse is seeking a Product Engineer for an on-site role in Chicago, IL. You will provide technical and test support for products and processes, collaborating with PM, Sales, and customers.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with at least 3 years in electronics or automotive manufacturing, strong statistical skills (Minitab), and excellent communication. Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in electronics/ automotive manufacturing.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and test support for products and processes to PM, Sales, and Customers: product electrical and dimensional specifications, process control plan, ETR, and 3D drawings.
• Ensure product compliance with certification requirements such as UL, EAC, KC Marking, CSA, PSE, BASEEFA, CCC & CQC.
• Initiate submission of Rel Samples, monitor their performance, and implement improvement actions where failures or drift occur.
• Support new product development projects and compliance with NPPD 5-Phase requirement, with capability to lead level 3 development projects.
• Lead projects related to material supplier quality and availability: SPCN, SSQF and PCCM compliance.
• Provide design input, validation plan, prototypes/testing, PCCM ECR, drawings, datasheet, and FMEA updates; ensure proper documentation.
• Coordinate with relevant departments on testing, process, and yield improvement.
