Job summary

Flex in Austin is seeking a Product Engineer / CFT Engineer to act as the primary customer interface for product engineering activities, including engineering changes, deviations, AVL qualifications, and new product introductions. You will drive issue resolution and support smooth transitions into production.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data, maintain manufacturing documentation, coordinate prototype builds, and ensure products meet quality and performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in electronics manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of SMT processes, PCB assemblies, schematics, component datasheets, and fabrication specifications.
  • Experience with ECOs, deviations, BOM management, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the engineering liaison between customers, manufacturing, and support teams.
  • Coordinate tooling and fixture requirements for assembly, inspection, and material handling.
  • Support NPI, product transfers, and ongoing production activities.

Product Engineer / CFT Engineer
Purpose

Serve as the primary customer interface for product engineering activities, including engineering changes (EC/ECO), deviations, AVL qualifications, new product introductions (NPI), and manufacturing support. Drive issue resolution and ensure smooth product transitions into production.

Key Responsibilities
