Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-Op for Summer/Fall 2027 at our Rochester, NY office. The role offers hands-on experience on energy storage and power electronics projects, with mentorship from experienced professionals and exposure to leadership teams.

You'll work with the Rochester Development Center to design, test, and analyze electrical systems, learning best practices for manufacturability, reliability, and safety in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• GPA 2.8 or higher required.
• Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering degree program.
• Onsite availability for Summer/Fall 2027 in Rochester, NY.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, analysis, and testing of electrical systems for energy storage and power conversion products.
• Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting in labs and on prototype vehicles.
• Analyze performance data to identify design improvements.
• Support electrical modeling and simulation of battery systems and power electronics.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineers on integrated product development.
• Participate in design reviews and present findings to multidisciplinary teams.
• Learn and apply industry best practices for manufacturability, reliability, and safety.
