Job summary

Construction Specialties, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to drive innovation, new product development, and product testing across CS locations.

You will lead cross-functional teams to translate concepts into tangible prototypes and production-ready designs. Responsibilities include validating drawings, coordinating with vendors, performing ROI analyses, and coaching manufacturing to resolve complex technical issues.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or related field; 3–5 years experience.
• EIT certification required; PE preferred or achievable within 1 year.
• Extensive knowledge of building codes and AHJ relationships.
• Experience in product development with mechanical topics (fluid/thermal dynamics).

Responsibilities

• Review, sign, and seal engineering plans in compliance with codes.
• Lead cross-functional NPD initiatives toward production readiness and commercialization.
• Break down complex ideas into actionable technical tasks for rapid results.
• Perform tests and compile reports to share knowledge across the team.
• Conduct trials and summarize research findings in detailed reports.
• Interface with outside vendors for materials/processes supporting NPD.
• Prototype, test, and report on designs with material, cost, and sustainability data.
• Supervise pilot models and quality checkouts at multiple locations.
• Carry out basic ROI calculations and cost analyses.
• Develop and verify drawings, calculations, and specs to meet client needs.
