Job summary

Amiee Lynn Inc. is seeking a Product Development and Sourcing Specialist to manage sourcing and development of hardgoods across Home & Kitchen, including gadgets, storage and organization products. You will drive projects from concept through sample development and final approval before handing off to Production.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of product development and/or sourcing experience in home, kitchen, housewares or consumer hardgoods.
• Experience working with overseas factories and sourcing teams.
• Strong costing, negotiation and price-comparison skills.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple products and timelines.
• Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Excel and product development tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Source new products, factories, materials and manufacturing capabilities.
• Identify and evaluate factories based on capabilities, quality, pricing and lead times.
• Request and compare factory quotations and negotiate costs.
• Work with Sales to develop products within target retail, wholesale and margin requirements.
• Partner with Design and overseas teams to develop products from concept through approved sample.
• Manage product specifications, materials, finishes, functionality and revisions.
• Organize and track samples, costs, factory assignments, approvals and timelines.
• Coordinate sample reviews and communicate revisions to factories.
• Identify new product opportunities and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure products are fully developed, approved and documented before handoff to Production.

Job description

We are seeking a Product Development & Sourcing Specialist to manage the sourcing and development of hardgoods across our Home & Kitchen categories, including kitchen gadgets, food storage, fridge and pantry organization, hydration, sink organization, and related accessories.

This role will manage products from initial concept through sourcing, costing, sample development, and final approval before handing them off to the Production team. The position works closely with Design, Sales, Licensing, Overseas Sourcing, and Production. The role is hybrid and requires to be in office 3 days a week and 2 days remote. The 3 days in office is non- negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

• Source new products, factories, materials, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Identify and evaluate factories based on capabilities, quality, pricing, and lead times.
• Request and compare factory quotations and negotiate competitive costs.
• Work with Sales to develop products within target retail, wholesale, and margin requirements.
• Partner with Design and overseas teams to develop new products from concept through approved sample.

• Organize and track all samples, costs, factory assignments, approvals, and development timelines.
• Coordinate sample reviews and communicate comments and revisions to factories.
• Work with Licensing to manage product submissions, approvals, and required revisions.
• Identify new product opportunities, manufacturing capabilities, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure products are fully developed, approved, and documented before handoff to Production.
