Job summary

Fourth Floor, a luxury sleepwear brand, is seeking a Product Development & Sourcing Manager to lead end-to-end development for our home categories, including bedding, pillows, blankets, throws, and seasonal decorative home accessories.

This role will drive research, material development, sourcing, costing, counter-sourcing, sampling, and production readiness. You will translate creative concepts into high-quality, cost-effective products globally.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of product development, sourcing, production, and materials experience in bedding, home textiles, soft home, or related categories.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fibers, fabrics, fills, printing, dyeing, embroidery, quilting, finishing, sewing, knitting and soft-home construction.
  • Demonstrated experience managing products from concept through production ready products
  • Strong experience with global factory sourcing, supplier qualification, cost negotiation, counter costing, and counter sourcing
  • Knowledge of FOB and landed cost analysis, MOQs, lead times, duties, freight, testing, and quality requirements
  • Experience managing sample approvals, technical documentation, development and production timelines, and corrective actions
  • Strong Excel, organizational, communication, and project-management skills
  • Know basics in Adobe Illustrator
  • Highly detail-oriented, proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable independently managing multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned products from concept through approved production.
  • Conduct competitive, market, and material research to identify product innovations and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Partner with design to communicate techpacks, specs, BOMs, construction requirements, and color comments to vendors and factories.
  • Research and develop fabrics, yarns, fills, trims, finishes, labels, and packaging.
  • Manage the sample process; material submissions, protos, revisions, pre-production, and TOPs reviewing for measurements, construction, materials, color, print, fill, function, and packaging.
  • Coordinate product testing, quality requirements, and corrective actions with factories and vendors.
  • Maintain development and production calendars, flagging delays, cost, quality, and sourcing risks early.
  • Source, qualify, and assess factories, mills, and suppliers, including counter sourcing to qualify alternatives, on capability, quality, pricing, MOQs, lead times, capacity, and compliance.
  • Request and analyze quote covering materials, labor, trims, testing, freight, duties, and other landed-cost components; conduct counter-costing to hit target pricing without sacrificing quality.
  • Partner cross-functionally, providing clear recommendations, status updates, and issue escalation.

Role Overview

Our client a luxury sleepwear brand is seeking an experienced Product Development & Sourcing Manager to manage the end-to-end development of our home categories, including bedding, pillows, blankets, throws, and seasonal and decorative home accessories such as candles, frames.

This role will lead product research, material development, sourcing, costing, counter-sourcing, sampling, and production readiness. The ideal candidate combines strong home-textile technical knowledge with commercial sourcing expertise and can translate creative concepts into high-quality, cost-effective, production-ready products.

Key Responsibilities
