Job summary

Silgan Containers seeks a seasoned Product Development Engineering Project Manager in Kentucky to lead plastics processing projects from concept through launch. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure adherence to PM SOPs, and drive on-time delivery while maintaining quality and cost targets.

The role requires strong hands-on plastics processing experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Technical degree preferred; 5+ years hands-on plastics processing experience and related PM experience.
• Experience with plastics processing methods and project management is a major plus.
• Prefer candidates with plastic packaging/related engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Manage Product Development Engineering Projects
• Resolve project issues to meet objectives
• Communicate issues promptly to Engineering Manager for resolution
• Support Pricing with preliminary NPD evaluation info for Quotations
• Preliminary Project Classification for Quotations
• Follow Project Management SOPs and complete Internal Design Review
• Coordinate Project Definition Meeting for NPD Projects
• Track Projects per minimum system requirements
• Other duties as assigned
