Responsibilities

• Develops and executes projects supporting the product management team, including setup of displays and shippers, sample management and QA tracking.
• Supports the new item system setup.
• Supports product development and launch timelines and calendars.
• Creates product specification sheets.
• Updates product launch data across systems and maintains related tables and a digital archive of launches.
• Interfaces with the Brand team on product information.
• Produces and distributes time-sensitive information to Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Leadership.
• Works with leadership to design and implement process enhancements.

Description

The Product Development Project Coordinator provides foundational project and task management support within Product Development, ensuring product launches, quality reviews, and specialty display programs stay on schedule and are executed accurately. This role intersects closely with several cross-functional areas of the business, focusing on clear and accurate communication of product information and the implementation of process and system enhancements. Working closely with the Director of Product Development and Sales Leadership, the Project Coordinator helps design and roll out process improvements across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops and executes projects supporting the product management team, including setup of turnkey (import) and non-turnkey (domestic) specialty displays and shippers, sample management/distribution to Sales and Marketing, and tracking/coordination of product quality reviews.
• Supports the new item system setup process.
• Supports product development and launch timelines, including management of the product development calendar, promo book, behind-the-product videos, and annual catalog.
• Creates product specification sheets.
• Updates and maintains product launch data across systems, including product team roles & responsibilities tables, master tables for launch dates/launch groups/product registrations/product descriptions, and a digital archive of completed launches.
• Interfaces with the Brand team on product information.
• Produces and distributes time-sensitive, critical information to Sales, Marketing, Consumer Relations, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Executive Management.
• Works closely with the Director of Product Development and Sales Leadership to design and implement process enhancements across the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3-4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects and/or project plans.
• Meticulous organizational and efficiency skills, with the ability to self-motivate and prioritize simultaneous tasks.
• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience mobilizing cross-functional support across departments.
• Ability to research, assess, and solve problems, using independent judgment to analyze information and formulate recommendations.
• Ability to work well under tight deadlines.
• Excellent proficiency in MS Office suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in consumer products, product development, or project management within a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands

• Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 25-50 lbs, and occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus
• Regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear; occasionally required to reach with hands and arms
• Spends long hours sitting and using office equipment/computers
• Works in a busy office with frequent interruptions and regular meetings

Compensation

• From $31 per hour

Work Location

• KONG Headquarters – Golden, Colorado
• Monday through Friday onsite
